Again, all the graphics on this page were created using the exact same Blade Pro preset (including the header graphic!). You can download this preset by clicking here. This kind of a preset is a little more complicated due to the fact that you will need to match the pattern for the sidebar graphic to tile properly. To create this preset, I started with the bmp "faience" (I believe this came with Blade Pro or one of their add-on presets) and loaded it into the "Texture" and a gold pattern I had loaded into the Environment File. I then moved the "faience" texture until it was centered on my tile. You can have a lot of fun with this preset. Try changing the colors of the lighting for different effects. They all have a "jeweled" aspect to them.

Sidebar Graphic (Pattern)

The following instructions are for creating the sidebar graphic on this page. The technique for creating a sidebar graphic from a pattern will apply to any pattern you create.

  1. Open a new white graphic 150x150.
  2. Apply my Blade Pro preset.
  3. Make a selection of the top part of the graphic similar to the following:

  4. Open a new graphic 200x200.
  5. Copy your selection from the sidebar graphic and paste it into the new 200x200 graphic.
  6. Paste another copy of the graphic and position it exactly above your first paste.
  7. Now, choose Image|Flip.
  8. Your graphic should now look like the following:

  9. Click on the white part of the graphic with the magic wand tool.
  10. Invert your selection and crop.
  11. I resized my graphic to 125x125.
  12. Add a right border of at least 900 pixels.

Matching Button

Since a button with this sidebar graphic pattern would have been way too busy, I just turned off the Texture to create this button.

Horizontal Bars

For this bar, I created a new graphic 550x6 and applied the preset. The bar was a little too shiny, so I adjusted the height to take down the glare somewhat.

Icons & Decorations

All these icons and decorations were made with my preset with the Texture turned off.
